The Nicest Shop in the 915
About Us
Nice Guys Finish First
Mr. Nice Guy opened with one idea: a smoke shop that treats you like a regular from your very first visit. No attitude, no upsell — just a well-stocked shelf and staff who actually know what they’re talking about.
We carry the everyday essentials and the harder-to-find stuff, from imported tobacco to hand-blown glass. And yeah — we’ve also got a genuinely wild vintage Playboy collection for the collectors. Come see for yourself.

LOCAL & FAMILY RUN
Born and built in El Paso — not a chain, not a franchise. Just a shop that knows this city.
STAFF WHO ACTUALLY KNOW
Ask anything. Our team knows the products inside and out, and we'll never talk down to you for asking.
NO ATTITUDE, EVER
First time in a shop like this or a lifelong regular — you get the same warm welcome, every visit.
Our Story
Every good hustle starts behind someone else's bar.
Long before there was a sign that said Mr. Nice Guy, there was a guy pouring drinks at Church — learning the rhythm of a room, what makes people come back, what makes a regular a regular. That's where it started. Not with a business plan. With a bar towel over one shoulder and an eye for opportunity.
It didn't take long before he wanted something of his own. So he opened Shifties right next door — a bar built on the same instincts he'd sharpened behind someone else's counter. It worked. People showed up. The neighborhood noticed.
Then came the moment that changes everything for guys like him: a smoke shop went under, doors closed, inventory just sitting there with nobody stepping up to claim it. Most people would've called that bad luck for somebody else. He called it an opening.
He bought the inventory. Rented the space. And built Mr. Nice Guy from what was left of somebody else's ending — turning it into El Paso's own kind of smoke shop: no attitude, no gatekeeping, just good product and good people running the counter.
It worked again. Word got around. The shelf grew. The regulars grew with it.
And this is still just the beginning. From a bar towel at Church, to Shifties next door, to a smoke shop built from someone else's closeout sale — Mr. Nice Guy keeps building. Whatever's next, it's coming from the same place everything else did: paying attention, taking the shot when it shows up, and treating everybody who walks in like they already belong.
